About Learning English Better

Real teaching, real experience, and a more human way to learn English online.

Why settle for an endless sea of so-called teachers when you can learn with a real one? With more than 20 years of experience, Ross Cline offers thoughtful, personalized online English lessons built on real teaching skill, real judgment, and real care for the learner.

20+ years of experience

Ross has worked with students of many ages, levels, and backgrounds, helping them grow in confidence and communication through practical, flexible teaching.

Personal, not generic

This is not page-turning with a textbook or a random tutor from a giant platform. Lessons are adapted to the learner, the goal, and the moment.

Built for real progress

Whether for work, study, travel, or personal growth, the focus is always on meaningful improvement that feels clear, natural, and genuinely useful.

Hello

My name is Ross Cline, and I have spent more than 20 years helping students build confidence in English. Over the years, I have taught learners from many different walks of life, including company employees, business owners, sales professionals, university students, teenagers, homemakers, and independent adult learners.

My goal is not simply to teach English, but to help people feel proud of their progress and success. Whether you want to study abroad, use English more confidently at work, speak more naturally in everyday life, or simply keep growing as a learner, I would be pleased to help you find the best path forward.

What makes this different

At Ross Cline Time, students get more than just another online tutor from a giant marketplace. They get a professional teacher who knows how to assess needs, guide a lesson properly, adapt materials, build confidence, and move people forward with purpose.

This is not generic tutoring. It is not trial and error. It is not a lesson with someone who barely knows how to lead. It is flexible, experience-based teaching shaped by years of working with real students in real situations.

Experience you can feel

My teaching approach has been shaped by years of work in both Canada and Taiwan, and by thousands of conversations with learners from different cultures, ages, and goals. I believe language learning should be personal, practical, and enjoyable. It should feel alive, not robotic.

Good teaching is not only about explaining grammar or correcting mistakes. It is about knowing how to listen, how to guide, how to encourage, and how to create a learning experience that makes people want to keep going.

More than English

In addition to English teaching, RossCline.com also helps connect learners with selected foreign language options, as well as translation and proofreading services where appropriate. The aim is simple: to offer something more thoughtful, more personal, and more trustworthy than the usual trial-and-error experience people often find elsewhere.
