Advanced English for Newcomers in New Brunswick

Newcomers in New Brunswick

If you are a newcomer to New Brunswick – or you work with newcomers – and you are looking for flexible, advanced English support, this page is for you.

I’m an independent English teacher based in New Brunswick, offering one-to-one and small-group online classes for adults and youth from many different countries.

Who this is for

This service is designed for people who:

  • Have already started or completed government-funded English classes, but still don’t feel confident enough in real life.
  • Work full-time or shift work and can’t reliably attend scheduled group classes.
  • Feel shy or anxious in large classes and learn better in a small, relaxed setting.
  • Need very practical help with:
    • workplace communication
    • job interviews and resumés
    • everyday life in New Brunswick (appointments, school, community, etc.)

I also support international students, spouses, and other community members who are living in New Brunswick and want to build stronger, more natural English.

How my classes work

  • Pay-as-you-go: You only pay for the time you use. No long contracts, no subscription, no hidden fees.
  • One-to-one or small groups: Classes can be fully individual, or you can study with a partner, friend, or small group.
  • Flexible schedule: We choose times together that work around your work and family life, including evenings and weekends where possible.
  • Fully online: Classes are online (video) so you can join from anywhere in New Brunswick or beyond.

“Free English Forever” weekly class

To help newcomers build confidence and community, I host a weekly “Free English Forever” group class:

  • It is genuinely free – no credit card, no subscription, no trick.
  • Anyone who registers and is serious about attending is welcome.
  • It’s a chance to practise speaking, ask questions, and meet other learners in a friendly group.

For newcomer-serving organizations

If you work with newcomers (settlement agencies, multicultural associations, employment programs, etc.), my services can:

  • Complement your funded programs by giving clients a private option once they complete or max out their classes.
  • Support clients who cannot attend regular class times due to work or childcare.
  • Provide targeted one-to-one help for:
    • job interviews
    • workplace English
    • specific professional goals
    • confidence-building for daily life

I am not requesting government funding. I simply ask that you:

  • Consider keeping RossCline.com in your internal resource lists as a private, pay-as-you-go option; and
  • Feel free to refer clients who are looking for extra or advanced English support beyond what is currently available to them.

If you would like a short PDF overview or would like to speak briefly about how I can align what I do with your programs, please contact me.
