About Ross Cline

About Ross Cline

Personal English teaching built on experience, careful listening, and progress you can actually feel.

Teaching English since 1999, Ross Cline offers something increasingly rare online: an experienced teacher who takes time to understand the learner, guide lessons thoughtfully, build confidence, and help people make steady, meaningful progress.

Teaching since 1999

Ross has taught learners of many ages, levels, and backgrounds in Canada, Taiwan, and beyond, with a focus on practical communication and lasting growth.

Personal and flexible

Lessons are shaped around the learner rather than forced into a one-size-fits-all system. Teaching changes as the learner’s needs change.

Built around real progress

Good teaching is not about filling time. It is about helping people improve in ways that are clear, useful, and worth continuing.

Meet Ross

My name is Ross Cline. I have been teaching English since 1999, helping learners build confidence through clear guidance, useful correction, and lessons that feel human rather than scripted.

Over the years, I have worked with business professionals, university students, teenagers, independent adult learners, and families. My goal is simple: help people use English with more confidence, clarity, and enjoyment.

What makes this different

I built my own school and teaching platform around a simple idea: students should feel that they are genuinely learning, genuinely improving, and genuinely getting value from their time.

That means careful listening, honest assessment, practical teaching, and lessons shaped around the learner’s goals. Whether your focus is work, study, travel, conversation, or personal growth, the aim is meaningful progress you can actually feel.

More than a tutoring platform

rosscline.com is for learners who want something more personal and thoughtful than a large tutoring marketplace. In addition to English teaching, selected language-learning, translation, and proofreading support may also be available where appropriate.
